On 18 October 2026, the Faculty of Health Sciences hosted a panel organised and moderated by Miss Shnya Dlshad in oder to bring awareness to breast cancer during the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known as "Pink October". The panel guests included Dr. Sanaria Shwan, Dr. Alla Shali, and Dr. Lizan Arkawazi who shared valuable insights on early detection, prevention, and the importance of regular screening. They also discussed the psychological and emotional impact of breast cancer, including the mental health challenges patients may face, and the emotional support required during such times, which made the panel overall a valuable reminder of the importance of awareness-raising, education and compassion and understanding to those affected.
